The Howrah Bridge has been an iconic symbol of Kolkata for over seven decades now. As it celebrated its grand 75th anniversary on Saturday, the steel engineering marvel over the Hooghly River has inspired quite a few filmmakers.
The British-era cantilever suspension bridge has served as a link between the twin cities of Howrah and Kolkata since 1943.
Also called Rabindra Setu, it is the sixth longest bridge of its type in the world
