An undated video of IAF pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman is doing rounds on social media. In the video, Abhinandan can be seen happily posing for selfies with IAF personnel, Garud special forces jawans and Defence Security Corps personnel. This is the first video of the MiG 21 pilot post his return to India from Pakistan where he was help captive for a few days
after his fighter jet was shot down.
Abhinandan, who has become a national hero, has been reportedly recommended for Vir Chakra, India’s third-highest wartime gallantry award.
