'I'm safe because I linked my Aadhar card': Twitter reacts as Delhi-NCR feels mild tremors

Given the quake was mild and lot of people did not even feel it, many tweeples did not fail to see the funny side of the tremors

Mild Tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR after a 5.5 magnitude earthquake hit Uttarakhand on Wednesday evening.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said the moderate intensity quake originated in Uttarakhand‘s Rudraprayag district at a depth of 30 kilometres.

Earlier, The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said the quake originated 121 km east of Dehradun in Uttarakhand and it reportedly struck at 8:59 pm.  The tremors were also felt in different parts of the country.

Initial reports suggest that the impact of the quake was not significant. No loss to life or property had been reported so far. However, more details are awaited.
