To get a good job is everyone’s dream as it is a result of hardwork of many years, however, getting placed does not provide job security most of the times. This harsh reality is the reason that leads to a sense of fear among many young professionals. And you never know when this fear can take an ugly turn and make people take extreme steps.
In one of the tragic incident, a 25-year-old IT professional, identified as Gopikrishna Durgaprasad committed suicide in Pune, three days after joining an IT company. Durgaparasad who was from Andhara Pradesh jumped to his death in the early hours on Wednesday.
The incident has come to light at a time, when IT companies are laying-off professionals. As per a report in the Hindustan Times, police has found a suicide note from his hotel room that Durgaprasad wrote and signed in English. The Assistant police inspector (API) Dilip Jaisingkar of Vimantal police station said that the note read, “In IT there is no job security. I’m worried a lot about my family”.

Durgaprasad had earlier worked in Delhi and Hyderabad and recently has got a job in Pune. He was given the accommodation at a hotel. According to police, he even inflicted 25 cuts on his left wrist with a knife. When it did not work out, he went on the terrace of the four-storied hotel where he was putting up and jumped to his death.
A relative of the deceased, Venkatrao Murthy said, “He was a good boy. He had no bad habits at all. He did his work and lived peacefully. I do not know what happened”.
