Revealed: 20 Pakistani soldiers killed in Indian Army’s October 29 strikes

An Indian Army jawan was killed by terrorist and his body was mutilated in Kupwara district of J&K.

At least 20 Pakistani soldiers were killed in the surgical strike conducted by the
Indian Army on October 29. Besides this, a Pakistani company headquarter was also razed, India Today TV reported.

The operation was carried out after an army jawan was killed by the terrorists and his body was mutilated in Machhil sector of Jammua and Kashmir. The Army had warned of an appropriate response after the incident.

Earlier on Friday, the Indian army had claimed to have killed 15 Pakistani Rangers during a retaliatory action to the killing of BSF constable Gurnam Singh who died after being hit by a sniper on October 21.

Tensions between India and Pakistan are at an all-time high following the September 29 surgical strike conducted by the Indian Army. Since then, there have been around 1o0 instances of ceasefire violation by the Pakistani forces. The intermittent firing and shelling from across the border has also claimed the lives of 12 civilians.

A senior Army official told PTI that 83 instances of ceasefire violations had been reported in Jammu region alone. The shelling has forced the Jammu and Kashmir government has shut more than 400 schools along the international border and Line of Control due to frequent attacks from the Pakistani forces.
