A cargo ship, MV Daniela off the coast of Colombo in Sri Lanka was set on fire on early Tuesday after which the Indian Navy has sent two ships to help combat the fire. However, the cause of the fire is yet not known.
The Indian Navy has sent two ships, INS Gharial and INS Darshak to assist in containing the fire. A Coast Guard ship, Shoor, was also sent to help in fire-fighting operations.
The Indian Navy tweeted: #MVDaniela ICGS Shoor fighting fire+ Helo ex Gharial in air 2 assist.INS Gharial&Darshak in vicinity along with SLN ships.
The cargo ship, MV Daniela, was traced at 11 nautical miles off the Sri Lankan coast.
