Indian Railways To Use AI For Tastier, Healthier Food For Passengers

That should bring a smile to your face!

Travelling by Indian Railways is never a rewarding experience. What makes it worse is the unhygienic food. Recently, a woman had to be compensated for being served breakfast with a live insect in it while travelling by Shatabdi.

In fact, in 2017 a  CAG  report had said the food offered by IRCTC is not fit for human consumption, The Financial Express reported. But all this could be a thing of the past. Indian Railways plans to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to keep an eye on whether caterers stick to hygiene guidelines.

Any insect-like foreign material can be detected at the preparation level. Also, if those preparing food do not wear gloves, it would be instantly reported to their seniors.

That should bring a smile to your face!
