Veteran actor Anupam Kher has become the latest celeb to join the highly-polarised debate over the facebook posts of Kargil martyr’s daughter Gurmehar Kaur.

Kher, who never shies away from making statements on sensitive political issues, has been a vocal supporter of Modi government and openly slammed the left brigade who allege that the current dispensation crushes dissent.

In November 2015, he also led a protest march to Rashtrapati Bhawan against the voices of intolerance in the country. He was awarded Padma Bhushan last year, however many alleged that it was a reward for his open support to Modi regime.
Earlier, cricketer Virender Sehwag kick-started a huge twitter debate after he posted a picture of him carrying placard . “I didn’t score two triple centuries, my bat did”, along with the message, “Bat me hai Dum ! #BharatJaisiJagahNahi”.

Wrestler Babita Phogat also jumped into the twitter debate Monday throwing her weight behind Hooda when journalist Rana Ayub slammed the Sarabjeet actor referring to poor sex ration in Haryana.

Referring to ABVP’s involvement in violence at Ramjas college over invitation to Umar Khaled for an event, Kaur changed her Facebook profile picture holding a placard which reads, “I am a student from Delhi University. I am not afraid of ABVP. I am not alone. Every student of India is with me. #StudentsAgainstABVP”.
The campaign went viral on social media with many supporting Kaur while others slammed her for taking the stand against BJP’s youth wing.
