In an anti-terrorist joint operation carried out by Army and police, an Al-Badr militant, Muzaffar Ahmed, was gunned down in Machu area of Budgam district in J&K on Friday morning.
One jawan was also injured in the gunfight.
As learned from the reports, the militant killed was a former of the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and was wanted in several cases.

A few days ago, the security had killed a militant in an encounter in Sopore area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district. Following a tip about movement of militants, an ambush was laid by the security forces at Haritar in Sopore.
