Zaira Wasim who issued an apology after receiving threats post her meeting with the J&K CM said that she had no idea why the matter had become such a big issue while adding that she had apologised only because she did not want hurt anyone’s feelings.

“Regarding my last post, I have no idea why this has become such a big issue. I just wanted to make sure that I did not hurt anyone’s feelings and all of a sudden it has been turned into national news,” Zaira said in a statement issued on Facebook account.

“Again and again I am telling people that I have not been forced into anything by anyone. This was post was not meant against anyone, just wanted to make sure that people were not hurt by what I was doing. From media to everyone else, please don’t blow this out of proportion. Neither was I forced nor am I against anyone. Hopefully this post just stops this once and for all,” she added.

In a shocking and unanticipated development, Kashmiri girl Zaira Wasim, who played Aamir Khan’s daughter in blockbuster Dangal has apologised to the people if her “recent actions or those she recently met” hurt anyone.

Zaira, who recently called on Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti as a part of her film’s success, this afternoon took to Facebook to post the “apology and confession” whereby she asked people not to follow her footsteps and that she doesn’t deserve to be a role model. “I’m a just a 16-year-old girl and I hope you treat me accordingly. I’m sorry for what I did but it was not a deliberate decision and I really hope people can forgive me,” she said in her statement. The apology apparently came soon after she received threats from several quarters of the society after her meeting with Mufti.
