Amid the growing the tension in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) District president Pulwama Abdul Gani Dar was shot dead by terrorists in at Pingleena village. Abdul Gani Dar was rushed to the hospital after he was shot at.
According to reports, unidentified gunmen opened fire at him at Pingleena area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Abdul Gani who is a resident of Rahmoo was rushed to nearby hospital, however, the doctors referred him to Srinagar hospital where he was being treated. This is the third attack two and half months in the state.
This comes on the day that Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti met Home Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss the course of action for the state. Mehbooba Mufti has affirmed that the people will see a new kind of Kashmir soon.

Last month, terrorists barged into PDP leader Farooq Andrabi’s house and fired shots at his residence. One police official suffered grave injuries in the incident. However, Andrabi was not present at the residence when the suspected militants forced themselves in.
Before which, police officials barged into a sub-inspector’s house and held his son and nephew as hostage. The central government has affirmed that it will provide all the necessary support to bring peace in the valley.
