Just a day after a school building that was set to be a polling booth was set ablaze in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, another government school designated as polling booth was set on fire in in Shopian’s Padarpora on just ahead of by polls.
The people who have set the school building on fire have not been identified as yet. The train services from Baramulla to Banihal have also been suspended due to the prevailing security situation in Jammu and Kashmir. The internet and mobile service have also been suspended in Srinagar, Budgam and Gandarbal and is likely to remain suspended till April 12.

This comes just a day after at least three people lost their lived and several others were keft injured after police officials opened fire on a stone-pelting mob that stormed a polling station in Budgam district in this Lok Sabha constituency.
According to reports, protestors in large numbers stormed a polling station at Pakherpora in Chrar-e-Sharief area of Budgam district and ransacked the building. The Srinagar seat fell vacant after Peoples Democratic Party leader Tariq Hameed Karra resigned during last year’s unrest following the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani. The security has been beefed up acorss the state ahead of the elections.
Omar Abdullah came out to affirm that he had never seen such a horrible situation in his entire political career.
