“This is my Ghar wapsi. I am a born Congressman and I have only come back home. This is new innings for me. New team for me. ” said Sidhu while getting inducted in the Congress party. While affirming that he would “bowl” out the Badals governing in the state of Punjab, Sidhu said that we can’t have ostrich mentality and that we can’t ignore the drug menace in the state.

He further urged the Badals to “run” as the people of the state is bracing themselves for a new government.

While speaking about his relation and alleged spat with Capt Amarinder Singh, Sidhu affirmed, “that if two nations can resolves their issues why can’t two individuals.”

However, the cricketer-turned politician avoided to comment on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
