Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday hailed Indian Army for its surgical strikes across Line of Control.
“Everyone is talking about our Army, what we used to hear about similar feat by Israel,” Modi said while addressing the Parivartan rally in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh.
“Everybody across the country is talking about the bravery of our army these days,” he added.
The Indian Army carried out surgical strikes on seven terror launch pads across the Line of Control (LoC) on September 29.
The army operation was carried out in retaliation to the September 18 terror attacks in Uri, in which 18 army jawans were killed. Since then, India’s relations with Pakistan, who is often accused of sheltering terror, continue to remain frosty.
On this occasion, Modi also claimed credit for the One Rank One Pension to be given to the ex-servicemen.
“One Rank One Pension was hanging for 40 yrs, and it is our govt which completed that work. Not only soldiers but their families bless me,” he said while addressing the rally.
