Aarti Sharma, a mother of four has offered to sell her kidneys in order to pay school fees of her children (three daughters, one son). Aarti who resides in 330-sq-ft rented room in Rohata area of Uttar Pradesh has claimed that their family business was massively hit after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced his decision to demonetise Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes. She has also claimed that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath did promise but they received any assistance till date.
According to a Times of India report, Aarti has claimed that despite their repeated requests, they have received no help from the Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government. She reportedly posted a letter on Facebook asserting that people do nothing but boast about “Beti Padhao Beti Bachao” but does “nothing” for the girl child. “People chant slogan ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’, but in real sense nobody wants to do anything about it. All are corrupt and they do this only to get votes,” Aarti said.

Aartis four children studying in a CBSE school have not been able to attend this session because they failed to pay the school fees. While speaking to ANI, Aarti said on of the authorities even went on to taunt her saying that one should choose the school of their children according to their status.
The daily further reported that Aarti’s daughters aspire to become IAS officers and wants to contribute in the development of the country. The Times of India report stated that Aarti did meet new Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and asked for assistance. However, the UP CM reportedly failed to help despite promising immediate assistance.
