UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav is the best man to govern Uttar Pradesh, and better than his ageing father Mulayam Singh Yadav.
At least the youth of the state thinks so.
Samajwadi Party is facing its toughest internal crisis till date. The acrimony between chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and his uncle Shivpal Yadav is out in the open.
We got in touch with some youngsters in Noida, who feel that Akhilesh deserves another chance at the helm of affairs in India’s largest state. They also said that Akhilesh was well connected to the youth and could deliver results for the state’s progress.
Some people cited Akhilesh’s image of a hard taskmaster and youth appeal which tilted scales in his favour. On the other hand, there were a handful of people who thought the chief minister was inexperienced as compared to a seasoned politician like Mulayam.

All is not well in the first family of Uttar Pradesh. Things turned ugly on Monday when Akhilesh and Shivpal got involved in a bitter argument, raising accusations against each other.
Akhilesh in an emotional speech said he was not going to float any new party and was indebted to his father for everything. Adding further, he said that he became a chief minister only because of his father’s blessings. However, he maintained that he would not keep quiet over the conspiracies being hatched against his father.

Later, Mulayam not only rebuked the chief minister but also vowed his support for both his brother Shivpal and Amar Singh. Not only this, he expressed his angst against Akhilesh, whom he said had become intolerant towards criticism. Later he asked Akhilesh to hug his uncle.
Just when he thought that the animosity had ended, both the uncle and nephew got involved in a heated argument. The party chief was also dragged into a war of words with his son, but maintained that Akhilesh would continue as chief minister.
