The ongoing meet of all the stakeholders in the Samajwadi party being chaired by party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav saw the mention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. One doesn’t see Mulayam Singh Yadav praising prime minister Narendra Modi too often. Then what made him talk so fondly about the honourable prime minister in a family meeting where he is essentially trying to keep his flock together?
ANI reported that the SP chief praised Narendra Modi for “not leaving his mother”. One can read a hidden message for Akhilesh in this statement.
Look at PM Modi, he became PM with dedication & struggle. He comes from a poor family, says he can’t leave his mother: Mulayam Singh Yadav

Clearly, the underlying message is that the younger generation must not think of leaving or going agaisnt their parents.
Although Akhilesh has never publicly differed with his father or his policies, even when he was scolded on several ocassions, he has done his bit to put in place his detractors. He sacked his uncle Shivpal Yadav, who has been trying to sideline him as the chief minister and sided with Amar Singh, who was inducted into the party against Akhilesh’s wishes.
The praise could also have political connotations. Akhilesh reportedly believes that Amar Singh induction in the party will benefit the BJP. Recently, Akhilesh Yadav was seen defending Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s ‘khoon ki dalali’ statement, while stating that he shares good relationship with the leader. On the other hand, Mulayam Singh Yadav’s other bahu Aparna, wife of Akhilesh’s step brother Prateek Yadav is a big fan of Narendra Modi. She praises him and his policies on social media and also attended BJP events.
This pari”war” is only getting more complicated and intense.
