Five coaches of Kurla-Ambernath local were derailed early on Thursday morning in Mumbai. No injuries have been reported.
The incident took place between Kalyan and Vithalwadi around 5.30 am. The services on Kalyan-Karjat train track had been initially suspended but were restored later.
The derailment comes a day after 15 coaches Ajmer-Seldah express were derailed in Kanpur on Wednesday. Nearly 30 people had been injured in the Kanpur mishap.
Central Railways has requested local Municipal Corporation to run extra buses between Kalyan and Ambernath due to the accident.

In the wake of the derailment, CST-Pune Deccan Queen and CST-Pune Intercity Express have been cancelled for the day. CST-Pune Indrayani Express has also been diverted through Diva-Panvel-Karjat for the day.
