This decision has been taken as a gesture is to show respect to warrior king Shivaji.
This is yet another decision of renaming taken by BJP government this year. Before this Gurgaon has been renamed as Gurugram. Interestingly this decision has been taken just about month before the Mumbai BMC elections.
