National Crime Records Bureau recently released its 2016 report and the statistics that the bureau came out with are absolutely shocking. According to the report, cognizable crimes (crimes in which a police officer can make an arrest without a warrant) have gone up 2.6 percent.
Ironically, while the reported cases of murder and rioting have decreased, reported cases of kidnapping and abduction have increased by 6 percent from 82,999 in 2015 to 88,008 in 2016.
