In a major development in Tamil Nadu, AIADMK’s legislature party leader and close aide of VK Sasikala, Edappadi Palanisamy is set to form the government in the state, ending a week-long political drama in the state. E Palanisamy, sworn in as Tamil Nadu CM at 4:30 pm on February 16 and will also have to prove vote of confidence in 15 days.
His appointment is in acceptance of the “letter submitted by Palanisamy on Tuesday that he was elected as the leader of the AIADMK legislature party at a meeting of the party MLAs held on that day,” said a press note issued by Raj Bhavan.
