It seems that even cops in India have been bitten by the TikTok bug. Two Delhi Police women cops have landed themselves in controversy for posting a Haryanvi song video on TikTok while being on duty. A departmental inquiry has been ordered. Many such instances have cropped up in the past few weeks on social media. A Gujarat Police woman constable was suspended by ACP Manjita Vanzara for making a video inside a police station. But Vanzara later triggered outrage by featuring in a TikTok video herself.
A SWAT team of Uttar Pradesh’s Basti Police was transferred for flaunting their guns in a video after an alleged encounter. A departmental probe was ordered against a sub-inspector from Vadodara for posting a selfie video in uniform. A Delhi Police ACP was issued notice after his official vehicle was used to perform dangerous stunts.
