Ola Cabs, India’s app-based taxi aggregator have started its first auto-rickshaw service in the United Kingdom. A fleet of Bajaj & Piaggio autorickshaws was launched last week in Liverpool. Ola UK’s Managing Director Ben Legg drove around the city and offered free rides to customers. Autorickshaws which are also known as tuk-tuks have been a lifeline of public transportation,
not just in India and Pakistan but across several south Asian countries. In the UK, autos were introduced in 2003 and have been sold for private use since then.
