Amid the ongoing crisis in Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday said that only Prime Minister Narendra Modi can save us from the current situation which is prevalent in the valley and whatever decision he will take, people will support him.
Mufti said, “Humein daldal se koi agar bahar nikal sakta hai toh, woh PM Modi hain. Woh jo faisla karenge mulk support karega”, (If anyone can take us out of the sticky spot, it is PM Modi. Whatever decision he will take, we will support him).
Taking a dig at former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, she said, “Pehle wale PM bhi Pak jana chahte, par zurrat nahi ki. PM Modi Lahore gaye yeh taqat ki nishani hai”. (former PM too wanted to go to Pakistan but did not dare to visit the country. PM Modi went to Lahore that shows his strength)
Replying to the comment made by Congress leader GS Charak that no developmental work has taken place in Jammu, Mufti said the situation in Kashmir is not good and it affects Jammu also.

Her comments have come amid the ongoing tension between security forces and civilians in the valley. Few days back three Indian army officers, including a captain were killed and four other army personnel got injured when suspected militants of terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) attacked an army camp in Kupwara district of north Kashmir.
