In a bizarre heist, cash worth over Rs 14 lakh was stolen from an ATM by unknown persons in Anantnag’s Mominabad area last night, police said on January 19.
The investigations are on and a case has been registered, officials informed the media persons.
Earlier in October last year, a Jammu and Kashmir Bank ATM machine along with the cash was stolen in central Kashmir district of Budgam, a police spokesperson had said.
He had informed the media persons that the Branch Manager of J&K Bank Branch Hardu Abura Magam reported to the Police Station Magam that during intervening night of October 20 and 21, unidentified thieves stole the ATM Machine along with cash from his branch.

Later in December, the ATM machine of Jammu and Kashmir Bank was recovered by police while three accused involved in crime were also arrested.
