PM inaugurates Patanjali Research Institute, says ‘will never ignore the heritage we have been proud of’

Ahead of International Yoga Day, PM said 'let us try to integrate as many people as possible'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday offered prayers at Kedarnath, which reopened after the six months of winter break. He later addressed a gathering at the programme to inaugurate the Patanjali Research Institute at Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar where he said that we should never forget innovative spirit that our ancestors are blessed with.

“Had the opportunity to inaugurate the research institute today. I have complete faith in the blessings of the people of India. They are a source of energy. I can say it confidently, we will not ignore or forget the heritage that we have been historically proud of”, said PM

Talking about Yoga, PM said that there is a sense of curiosity for Yoga in the world. Ahead of International Yoga Day which falls on June 21,  “Let us try to integrate as many people as possible when we are marking the International Day of Yoga”, PM added.

Speaking at the Patanjali Yogpeeth, PM talked about a new health policy which covers various aspects of good health and wellness”.

He said that central government come up with a new health policy and now it’s focusing on preventive healthcare For which the most important thing is cleanliness.
