Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhavan as she was all said to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 8. This is the third in three years that the Bangladesh Prime Minister was visiting India. Both the Prime Ministers are expected to discuss on the bilateral ties and other key issues. After recveing Sheikh Hasina, PM Modi also interacted with the Bangladesh delegation.
Both will also have talks on pertinent issues including defence, security, trade and energy. PM Modi also made certain key announcement while delivering a joint statement with PM Sheikh Hasina. Here are key highlights of the joint statement:
