9 reasons that make John Oliver’s F*#k You 2016 video relevant for India

While Vir Das faintly expands John Oliver's Fuck You 2016, India did have a real downer of political, economic, social and artistic year.

When the finale of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver aired this past November it outlived all expectations. The episode, first after the results of the Presidential Elections in the United States, was momentous and ended with a montage of many different ways that 2016 completely sucked. “Even though there’s still seven weeks to go, I feel pretty comfortable in calling it: 2016 has been the fucking worst,” Oliver said. Then Amy Schumer said it. Then Larry David. Then Jeffrey Tambor. And Billy Eichner. And Nick Offerman. And Megan Mullally. And now it’s the sassy stand-up comedian Vir Das. Das posted on Facebook:

India had a gloomy year, a real downer politically, musically, and artistically, as well as in a more general, species-wide sense. Our list is comprehensive and you may not gain any closure from this.
