BSP supremo Mayawati on 27 December lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) saying that the centre was trying to malign the images of BSP while asserting that all the funds were deposited before November 8.
This came just a day after the Enforcement Directorate found cash deposits of over Rs.104 crore in an account belonging to the BSP and Rs 1.43 crore in an account belonging to party Supremo Mayawati’s brother Anand in a branch of United Bank of India.
Mayawati claimed that all the party funds were duly deposited before the Prime Minister announced his decision to demonetise Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes. She further urged the BJP to disclose their income and funds in their party accounts before the note ban announcement.

“BJP just cannot tolerate a Dalit daughter working hard for the betterment of the state,” Mayawati told the media.
Mayawati also claimed that BJP was reacting in such a manner only because of her alliance with the Congress party to expose them. Justifying her brother’s money, Mayawati claimed that her brother who was running a small business had deposited money in her account as per the IT rules.
The ED officials had claimed that huge amount of money was being deposited in these BSP accounts every other day.
