CM Yogi Adityanath's ultimatum to UP ministers, 'don't accept gifts costing over Rs 5,000'

Earlier, CM Adityanath gave direction to his ministers to give details of their income, moveable and immoveable properties with 15 days to the party

Sending a strong message against corruption, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asked all his ministers not to accept gifts worth above Rs 5000. CM Adityanath also wrote a reminder letter to all his cabinet ministers to provide details of their income, moveable and immoveable assets.

Earlier, in his first introductory meeting, CM Adityanath gave direction to his ministers to give details of their income, moveable and immoveable properties with 15 days to the party, soon after assuming office.

Despite this, most of the cabinet ministers have not submitted the details about their income and moveable and immoveable assets.

According to reports, only 13 ministers have disclosed their details to the party till now. The Uttar Pradesh CM has also given an ultimatum to his minister to submit the details by Wednesday. He also emphasized on “coordination” between government and the BJP organization.

The UP Chief Minister will hold his third cabinet meeting today in the evening.

CM Adityanath had told media persons that his government will follow ‘sabka saath sabka vikas’ agenda and claimed that the previous governments were corruption-ridden because of which the state had suffered.

Earlier, CM Adityanath voiced support against ‘triple talaq’ and lashed out on those who are silent on the issue. He compared those silent on the issue to the disrobing of Draupadi in ‘the Mahabharat’.

“Some people who are silent on the issue of triple talaq are equally guilty”, the UP Chief Minister said.
