The fate on the newly appointed Chief Minster of Tamil Nadu Edappadi Palaniswami will be decided as he seek a crucial floor test in the special session of Sate Assembly on February 18. For the trust vote, the speaker P Dhanapal has called for a session of Tamil Nadu assembly. The assembly session will begin at 11 am.
The 63-year-old leader was elected as AIADMK’s legislature party leader on February 16 after Sasikala was sentenced to Jail by Supreme court in disproportionate assets case. Besides Palaniswami, 30 other MLAs also took oath as ministers in the new government.
Meanwhile, before the floor test Palaniswami seems to gather support of the commoner at Golden Bay resort in Kuvathur. School student outside resort have come out to support him. Students said, ‘we pray for EPS, hope he sails through the floor test & establishes Amma’s rule in the state.’

Earlier on February 17, ahead of the confidence vote, O Panneerselvam camp met Assembly Speaker and urged him to have secret ballot for confidence vote.
Ahead of the confidence vote MK Stalin of main opposition party the DMK has said, his party will vote against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E K Palaniswami when he seeks a trust vote in the state legislature to decide whether he will remain in charge.
