As predicted, Delhi Chief Minister’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has come out to blame the EVM for their embarrassing defeat in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections 2017. After facing loss in the civic polls, Rural Development Minister of Delhi, Gopal Rai has asserted that BJP’s win in the civic polls was not “Modi wave” but “EVM wave”.
While, BJP won big in the MCD elections and wiped out Congress and AAP, Kejriwal’s party underperformed and finished third. Congress who comparatively did well attained the second spot. Various exit polls had suggested that BJP will head for a landslide victory.
