Swaraj Abhiyan leader Yogendra Yadav on May 7 asserted that even though he could agree with the charges of “power greed” it was difficult for him to believe the bribery charges levelled against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal without “solid evidence.”
“I might agree with charges of power greed, arrogance, authoritarianism against Kejriwal, but charge of taking bribe need solid evidence,” Yadav said in a tweet.
This comes after ousted AAP minister Kapil Mishra alleged in an explosive press conference that he had seen Arvind Kejriwal accepting a bribe of Rs 2 crore from Delhi health minister Satyendra Jain. However, soon after he made these allegations Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia addressed the media and termed Mishra’s allegations as “false” and “baseless.” “His allegations are not even worth responding to, they are so absurd and without any facts,” Manish Sisodia told the media.

Earlier today, Kapil Mishra stunned everyone after he claimed that Arvind Kejriwal had accepted a bribe from Satyendra Jain and that the latter had also helped the Delhi Chief Minister to settle land deal worth Rs 50 crore. He further affirmed that he had the required evidence to prove his claims and he would also submit them to the Anti-corruption bureau and the CBI. Meanwhile, BJP’s Delhi chief Manoj Tiwari has also asked Arvind Kejriwal to resign after facing such serious allegations. “Whole of Delhi is absolutely shocked by today’s remarks of Kapil Mishra. Its not an allegation but statement of a witness,” Manoj Tiwari said.
Arvind Kejriwal had removed Kapil Mishra as the water minister on Sunday.
