Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani was on Wednesday hospitalised after he complained of severe chest pain. He was admitted to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences. Geelani was later admitted in ICU and is being constantly observed by specialist doctors.
Earlier on January 27, he was taken to SKIMS for a medical check up where various tests were conducted on him. He was taken to SKIMS under police custody.
Hurriyat Conference (G) spokesperson Ayaz Akbar had then stated that there was nothing serious and it was a routine medical check-up.
