An AIADMK MLA filed an FIR against Sasikala Natarajan and the new party chief Edappadi K Palanisamy accusing them of kidnapping him on February 15. The case was filed by AIADMK MLA from Madurai, S Saravanan at Kuvathur Police Station.
Earlier, in order to prove the majority and keep the flock together Sasikala kept the party MLAs along with S Saravanan at Golden Bay resorts in Mahabalipuram on February 10 to avoid any deflection towards caretaker Chief Minister O Pannerselvam’s camp. But Saravanan somehow managed to escape the beach resort and landed up at Panneerselvam’s residence.
After reaching Panneerselvam’s house, he told media that he had scaled the wall and managed to escape adding that he had to disguise himself to put his plan into action.

Sasikala left no stone unturned to win the number game in Tamil Nadu politics. She held party MLAs captive in Golden Bay Resorts in Mahabalipuram to avoid any deflection.
Reportedly, the MLAs were not allowed to read newspapers and their access to the internet were also barred. Mobile jammers were also been installed at the resort.
Sasikala’s supporters replaced the guards and were constantly patrolling in the corridors at the resort to keep and eye on the MLAs. Reports also suggest that several MLAs protested against the treatment that is being meted out to them with some of them also observed a fast.
