Live updates: Narendra Modi’s speech on New Year 2017 eve

The wait is over. The Prime Minister has finally addressed the nation on the new year's eve and this what it is all about.

After a lot of anticipation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on 31 December a day after his 50-day deadline of bringing back stability across the nation, post demonetisation ended.

While people across the nation wondered what the Prime Minister was going to talk about, reports suggested that he was going to show a roadmap after demonetisation. The Prime Minister had appealed to the people across the nation to bear the pain caused due to demonetisation for 50 days urging them to “punish” him if he fails to bring change.
