Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is yet again seeking public help to fight the elections to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. The party’s campaigning for the upcoming MCD polls is based on the slogan “Garbage-free Delhi, corruption-free MCD.” The Delhi Chief Minister has on several occasions vowed to make the cash-strapped corporation economically viable within a year after coming to power. He has also promised that if AAP wins MCD elections, it will make Delhi look like London.
Running a crowdfunding campaign, the party tweeted: “AAP believes in Transparent Funding, it runs on your money.” In a video released by AAP, Manish Sisodia asked people to donate for the party with an open heart.

Promising to clean up the national capital, Arvind Kejriwal claimed that his two-year-old government has done what the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh has failed to do even in 10-15 years. “In the assembly polls you gave us 67 seats but this time do not leave any such gap. If we win the MCD polls, we will spruce up Delhi and make it look like London within a year,” he said.
Kejriwal had also said that electricity rates in Delhi are cheapest in the country. He claimed that the power and water departments will be “snatched” from the Delhi government if BJP is voted to power again.
The AAP chief alleged Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and PWD and Health Minister Satyendar Jain are being “targeted” for taking on education and health mafias.
Hitting out at the BJP, Kejriwal had said the party’s claim that municipal corporations cannot abolish house tax stems out of the fear that it will suffer huge losses.
