Sasikala lands in jail for 4 years in disproportionate asset case, Twitter reacts

The morning of Valentine’s day brought a massive shock for All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) general secretary VK Sasiskala after the Supreme court convicted her in the disproportionate asset case against her. The apex court, in its judgement, has announced imprisonment for 4 years and has made her ineligible to contest elections for 6 years. In addition, Chinnamma has also been slammed with a fine of Rs 10 crore.

Sasikala will surrender herself in in the Karnataka court today.

This verdict of the apex court has confirmed that Jayalaithaa’s closest aide Sasikala will no more be the Chief Minister of the state clearing way for O Paneerselvam. However, yesterday, while addressing the party MLAs Sasikala had said that she had gone to the jail earlier and had no qualms going back to the jail again.
