Prachi who is known for his unrealistic comments, advised Muslim women, who are victims of triple talaq to leave their religion and say “I Love You” to Hindu men!

Speaking at an event in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad district, the controversial VHP leader reportedly said, “My advice for Muslim women who are troubled by this practice of triple talaq is that they should leave such a religion and embrace Hinduism… Just say “I love YoU” to Hindu men and our sons will be happy to marry you.”

Sadhvi Prachi has an ‘illustrious’ track record of stoking controversies through her speeches, especially against the minorities. Amid the intolerance controversy, she wanted Shah Rukh Khan to go to Pakistan and Hindus to boycott “all Khans”. Expressing her displeasure over the rise in Muslim population, she had urged the Hindus to have four children in every family.

At the time of Dadri incident, she had defended the the mob lynching of Mohammad Akhlaq and had expressed her opinion that all beef eaters should face the same fate.

Meanwhile, the constitutional bench of the Supreme Court will begin hearing into triple talaq case from May 11. The please challenging the validity of triple talaq will be heard in the top court by a 5-judge bench. Several women have filed a petition before the Supreme Court seeking the quashing of the triple talaq practice.

The apex court had earlier stated that it will not debate the important issue of uniform civil code (UCC). However, the petitioners had told the apex court that the matter is a serious and sensitive issue and the court should hear it.

Defending the practice, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board had said that it is better to divorce a woman than kill her. It also added that the rights bestowed by religion can’t be questioned in a court of law.

The Muslim body has claimed that any order against Triple Talaq would be an infringement on their right to follow and profess any religion.
