India is a diverse country, where people from different religions reside together and speak so many languages. Our country’s diversity is known across the globe, however, in the recent past, there have been instances when cases of intolerance rocked our country, leading to various debates.
Recently, several cases of lynching have been reported, which are questioning the diversity of our country. But, today Congress MP Shashi Tharoor shared a video on Facebook, which can be easily said as the ‘most’ secular video posted in recent times.
In the video, a Hindu and a Muslim can be seen, who bump into each other, following which the Muslim man’s skull cap drops on the ground and the Hindu man’s beading meets the same fate. Later, they smile and peacefully hug each other.
The animated video gives a strong message of communal harmony. While sharing the video, Shashi Tharoor wrote, “This is the India of my dreams, India of Ram as much as of Raheem.”
Ever since the video was posted, 16,000 people have watched the video and its has been shared over 200 times. Here’s how Facebook users reacted to the video:
Earlier, Shashi Tharoor had shared a photo to promote communal harmony in which he can be seen talking to a man who is clad in saffron attire, on his other side three Muslim men are sitting and there is also a board which reads Y.M.C.A (Young Men’s Christian Association). The photo has gone viral on the social media and has caught quite a lot of attention. The caption given by Shashi Tharoor reads, “Typical Kerala: I am talking to a Swami after addressing a Muslim Jamaat meeting at the YMCA!”
