The apex court has awarded four-year imprisonment to Sasikala.
She is ineligible to contest elections for the next 10-years.
Supreme Court has also imposed a fine of rupees 10 Crore on Sasikala.
Along with Sasikala, Ilavarasi and Sudhakaran (the other two convicts) will also have to serve remainder of their 4-year sentence and pay Rs. 10 crore each.
SC has also ordered Chinnamma to surrender in Bengaluru trail court with immidiate effects.
Before surrendering the trial court Sasikala has appointed Edapadi K.Palanisamy as the new Legislative head of the party.
Sasikala has already served prison term of 6 months in the jail, so she will only have to serve three and half years in prison.

A case was filed in 1996 against late Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa, following a complaint by now BJP MP Subramanian Swamy, that she had amassed over Rs 60 crore as illicit weal during her ffirst tenure as chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
