Days after swearing in as the new Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath sought an action plan for closure of slaughterhouses and a “blanket ban” on cow smuggling, as illegal abattoirs and meat shops across the state faced the heat. As a result, the animals kept in Zoos across different cities across the state have to survive over chicken and mutton.
However, the government is making some arrangements for these zoos but that will be on a temporary basis as after 4 or 5 days, the problem of shortage of food will rise once again.
