Music composer Vishal Dadlani, who faced severe criticism over his sarcastic tweet on Jain monk Tarun Sagar last month, on Wednesday met the spiritual leader to apologise for his remarks.
The music composer reached the ashram of Jain Muni Tarun Sagar in Chandigarh on Wednesday morning and offered his apologies.
“Guruji accepted my apology, I think we’ve also developed friendship bond,” he said after meeting the monk.
Earlier in August, Dadlani had tweeted a graphic image of the Jain monk calling his religious sermon a ‘mockery of democracy’.
“If you voted for these people, YOU are responsible for this absurd nonsense! No #AchcheDin, just #NoKachcheDin,” he wrote in his tweet.
The controversy had also lead to Dadlani quitting the Aam Aadmi Party.
