The hacker group legion, who came into limelight this year after they hacked into the social media accounts of some of the renowned figures has now claimed that it’s next target is “sansad.nic.in” which provides email ids to most of the government employees in the country.
In an exclusive interview to a tech website, factordaily.com, the group comprising of unknown people has said that they are all set to “dump” “sansad-.nic.in emails,” and that it includes “a lot of Big Fish.”
Legion shot to fame after hacking into official Twitter account of Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi, posting politically abuse-laden tweets to his 1.3 million followers. They also managed to hack into Congress party’s official Twitter handle later.
The group says they have no political affiliation and only “expose people that pop up ss potentially interesting.”
On being asked about what they think their strength was, the group said that they could own any organisation with the resources that they possess and that they have been doing what they do for over a decade now.
They also went on to say that they have managed to stumble upon a number of “contradicting” information about the AIADMK and Jayalalithaa but are not releasing it because they cannot confirm the legitamacy of the information. Legion also said that they might not release all the data they have accessed as it might cause ‘chaos’.
Speaking about why none of the BJP accounts were hacked, the group said that they do will do it when the timing was “right”.
The group has also hacked Vijay Mallya’s account, who escaped to London in March this year after being failing to pay Rs 9,000 crore that he owed banks in India. Next on Legion’s hit list were two Indian journalists, Barkha Dutt and Ravish Kumar, working for the same news channel.
