In a surprising incident, Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad today assaulted Air India crew members as he was unhappy with the seat that was allotted to him.
The flight was scheduled to reach Delhi from Pune when the incident happened. According to reports, the Sena MP even used his slippers to beat the crew members.
Air India has confirmed the incident and has reportedly formed a committee to probe the matter. “Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad hit an Air India staff member with his slipper over seating issues. We have constituted a team to probe the whole incident,” Air India spokesperson said.
The airlines is also planning to lodge an FIR against the parliamentarian. Following the incident, Gaikwad justified his act and said, “Haan maine usko maara tha, usne badtameezi ki thi (Yes I thrashed him because he was misbehaving with me).”
