In a shocking case of apathy, a young boy from Karnataka was left to bleed to death on the streets of Koppal. However, the onlookers decided to film him instead of offering help. The teen identified as Anwar Ali, who was travelling on his cycle was hit by a state government bus travelling from the state of Bengaluru.
According to reports, the bystanders did not come forward to offer any help while he kept on begging the people to help him. Instead, they went on to click his pictures and shoot videos. It was only after a span of 25 minutes that one person offered him water. The reports suggest that none of the onlookers bothered to call the cops or rush him to the hospital.
The 18-year-old boy was taken to the hospital only after about half an hour where he breathed his last. No one came to his help, they were making videos and clicking pictures. If someone had cared, my brother could have been saved. More than 15 to 20 minutes were wasted there,” the deceased’s brother Riaz told PTI.
“People at the spot were shocked and did not know how to help him as the victim was severely injured and was bleeding profusely,” PTI a witness who did not wish to be named as saying.
This comes just days after a 38-year-old cop was bled to death in Mysuru after being trapped in a police jeep after meeting with an accident for over half and hour. Meanwhile, the onlookers made videos of him instead of taking to the hospital and providing him timely medical assistance.
