The Supreme Court on Friday pulled up the Karnataka government for its defiant stand in releasing Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu and ordered release of 6,000 cusecs of river water every day to the neighbouring state for six days, from October 1 to October 6.
The SC also said the the wrath of law will fall upon Karnataka in case of any defiance of Cauvery order.
The apex court has issued directive for formation of a Cauvery management board by October 4. Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry have been asked to give names of members for the water management board by Saturday.
