People Have Shared Brutally Funny ‘Reviews’ Of Delhi’s Ghazipur Dump, Because Why Not

The dump is apparently the biggest pile of garbage in the country with an unusual distinction of being 'almost as tall as the Qutub Minar'

The Ghazipur garbage dump in East Delhi is a sight to behold. If it has caught your eye even once, it’s almost impossible to forget it. The dump is apparently the biggest pile of garbage in the country with an unusual distinction of being ‘almost as tall as the Qutub Minar’. Spread over an area of 29 acres, the landfill still receives tonnes of garbage everyday. Now, Delhi residents have found an unusual way to vent their frustration on the garbage whose stench comes from miles away.

The garbage dump has been receiving five star reviews from some of the bypassers. This was first pointed out on Twitter by author Siddharth Singh who shared the screen shot of the Google reviews.

Currently, the landfill has an average rating of 3.3 stars with 119 reviews and some of the comments are just hilarious.

However, there were some who did not minced words in calling out the authorities for their sheer negligence.

The Ghazipur landfill was commissioned in 1984 and is the oldest of three sites where Delhi’s garbage is dumped. In 2017, a part of the landfill collapsed, resulting in the death of two people.
