“I get scared when I see people suffering and dying because of earthquakes, floods, and tsunami on TV. I cry when I see children losing their parents or people becoming homeless due to dangers of disasters. I urge everyone to join their hands, minds and passions to create a better world for all of us.” she said, according to NorthEast Now.
This is not the first time she will be representing the country at a global forum. She had also participated in 2018 Asian Ministerial Conference for Disaster Risks Reduction (AMCDRR) in the Mongolian capital, Ulaanbaatar from 3-7 July 2018. She has so far traveled over 8 countries to represent India in various capacities.
