A student of class XI allegedly attacked the principal on Friday after he denied his request to grant a leave. The principal was soon rushed to the hospital with a head injury but his condition is stable now. The school staff of apprehended the boy and handed him over to the police.
A 16-year-old who is studying at Islamia Inter College in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh attacked the principal, Shakir Ali Khan when he turned down his request for leave. While giving the statement the teachers as well as the non-teaching staff told the police that the boy is an addict and he often behaves rudely to them as well.
Investigating officer inspector Alok Mishra said, “After receiving information, we rushed to the school. The victim was immediately taken to the hospital; while the minor accused, who was apprehended by the school staff, has been sent to the juvenile home.”
Mishra said that the boy wanted to take a leave as his leg was injured and when he went to the principal to ask for it, the principal rudely told him to ‘get out of his room’. This behavior of the principal angered the boy and he behaved in this manner.

In his complaint Khan said that the boy tried to kill him with a brick and on the basis of Khan’s medical report a case has been registered against the student under section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). As the accused is minor, police will present this case in the juvenile court.
